PGP Encryption of data

I've seen radzmar's blogs regarding RC4 encryption of form data but was wondering if anyone had ever looked into using PGP or PKI encryption? I've had a brief chat with my Company's Security peeps and it seems a suitable method for transmitting sensitive form data via email, but I've no idea where to start.

Has anyone seen it in action? Is anyone using it currently within forms they've developed?

Any pointers or info would be useful.
