pdf barcode 417

I used livecycle designer to create a form with a pdf bardcode 417. The form is used in a C# program using acrofields and xml data. The barcode is not merging with the data. I was told this maybe because a license is required. Does anyone know if  a license is required and if so where can I obtain one. thanks.

Have a look at the summary here: http://assure.ly/etkFNU. It highlights the features that are either available OR not, depending on what the user has (Acrobat or Reader) and whether the form was Reader Enabled (using Acrobat or the full LC Reader Extensions ES component):

If your users have Reader, then yes you will need to Reader Enable the form using the Reader Extensions component of LC Enterprise Suite.
