I need to design a print form with custom paper type (desired paper dimensions are 224mm x 318mm) and print it using a separate printed tray. For that purpose I followed the steps described in chapter "Adding new paper types to the Designer.xdc file" in LiveCycle help:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/wb_help/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=Workbe...
- Opened Designer.xdc on my PC by using a line editor or XML-capable editor
- In the deviceInfo element under the Medium heading added a medium element for desired paper type "MyPaperType" (<medium stock="MyPaperType" short="224mm" long="318mm"/>)
- Made the necessary customizing on ADS side (not really important for this message)
After restarting the Designer I got new paper type "MyPaperType" available from dropdown list and set it for my Master Page. As the result, on “Design View” or “Master Pages” tabs the generated page has correct size for "MyPaperType" paper type (224mm x 318mm). However, on PDF Preview I always get the page with size 21,587cm x 27,937cm which is equivalent to paper type "Default".
In case I set paper type to "Custom" and define the desired page size manually, I get correct output size on both “Design View” and PDF preview. However, this option is not acceptable as I need to distinguish between printer trays based on paper type.
I would appreciate any advice or support on that problem.
Thank you.
