Order of data in barcode

Hi

How can I make the paper form barcode encode data in a specific order? I have noticed, that the order of data in the barcode changes when I modífy the form and the barcode.

I had the idea, that the order of data in the barcode would be the same as in the hierarchy, but that doen't seem to be the way it works.

Has anyone an adwice, how to control it?

I suddenly noticed that the orde of tha data is defined by the order in which I add the fields to my collection. Therefore: new collection and pick the field in the wanted order.

Kirstine, sorry what do you mean by new collection - is this something you need to declare in the javascript behind the barcode.  I am having the same problem where I will define the fields I want e.g.:

var sTemp = strTabDelimited({oDoc: this, aFields: ["ID1","name.last","name.first","name.mi","aidyear","formname"], bFieldNames: false});

but the barcode will display

ID1, name.first, name.last, name.mi

it's weird!

Hi Chris

I define my collection in the Value tab in the Object panel and let LiveCycle do the scripting.
