I am trying to create a text field at the bottom of page 1 + want the text to automatically flow to page 2; can somone give me basic instructions on how to do this?

I've tried altering the field properties, using subforms, etc. without any success.

I find doing this very cumbersome and convoluted.

.

Thx,

Tom

You can try placing the textfield in the Master Pages. So the same value can be displayed in all the pages in the form.

Thanks

Thank you for the reply... I did try that but the affect wasn't what I was looking for; I was hoping to have the text flow to the next page similar to when you are typing in a Word document.

The form will have a comment box at the bottom of the page and if the text doesn't fit entirely in the box I want it to flow to the top of the next page.

Thx,

Tom

Sorry.. I may be understood the issue in a different way.

You can achieve this by doing the following.

1) Make the Page1 subform to be Flowed.

2) The subform that holds the Comments textbox

     a) Needs to be set to Flowed.

     b) In the Layout properties of the subform Check the checkbox "AutoFit" for height.

     c) Check Allow Page Breaks with in content in the Subform Properties.

3) In the Comments textbox field properties

     a) Check the Allow Multiple Lines

     b) Check Allow Page Breaks with in contect

     c) Check the checkbox "Expand to Fit" for Height property in the Layout tab.

Hope this helps. If not, feel free to send the form to LiveCycle9@gmail.com so I can have a look at it.

Thanks

Oh, and if I may add, you have to save the form first as a Dynamic pdf. That rule gets me every time!
