Hi,
I have only just started using ES2 two days ago, i am chaging most of the forms my company uses to PDF forms which hopefully make life easier.
Im having major issues with scripting, i want to add buttons to save the document at the bottom of the page but nothing works! (Ive tried copying from other sources but that dosnt work either)
Is there a step by step guide to doing easy scripting as there are loads of different aspects i want to include but dont want to re-do the forms from scratch i have all ready started!
I need help with calculations as well!!
Please Help!!

First of all, welcome to LiveCycle.
There is a good scripting reference at: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/lcdesigner_scripting_reference.pdf
With regard to your specific question: Are you trying to save the document with data using the free Reader so users can save the doc with data on their desktops? If so, then you will need to apply Reader Extensions to the form to allow users to save the forms with data locally.
Reader Extensions can either be applied server side (using LiveCycle ES2 Reader Extesions) if you are using the LiveCycle server products, OR using Acrobat if you are doing it on a one by one basis. If you are going to use Acrobat, you should be aware that there are some licensing restrictions based on the number of forms you are going to extend.

How do I apply Reader Extensions to the form to allow users to save the forms with data locally.
Many Thanks

You can Reader Enable (add Reader Extensions) using Acrobat Pro or the server side LiveCycle Reader Extensions module.
The Acrobat method is for one-off forms and has a EULA restriction. LC Reader Extensions is meant for larger scale productions.
There are many posts on these forums on how to apply RE to your document, such as:
