Need Help With Adding A Barcode TO A FORM

Avatar

Hi Guys,

I am new to “Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.0”. I am in the process of making a form that uses a barcode. The value of the barcode needs to change based on information entered in one or more fields. How can this be done? I can’t seem to figure this out. Please break it down, cause I am new to this.

Thanks

The Barcoded Forms object should be treated simply as a Text Field object.  You can manipulate the .rawValue of the field to include whatever data you'd like.  Alternatively (and easily) you can click on the value tab and then create a Collection of all the fields that you wish to include in your barcode.  Use the tab delimited format as this will take less space within the barcode.

Make sure you're also aware of what needs to be licensed when using Barcoded Forms: http://blogs.adobe.com/asktheexperts/2009/06/adobe_livecycle_barcoded_forms.html
