Navigating between fields with arrow keys

I have a matrix of about 50x50 text fields which users want to navigate using shift+arrow keys.

So far I can but conclude that this is a no-doer; the event pseudo model offers no insight to whether arrow keys have been pressed. At least not in the change event (I can buy that), and for some reason, text fields don't trigger keyDown events.

Seems I've found something that Form Designer (old JetForm) does better.
