Modifying Default Form Naming Convention

Avatar

I have a form that, upon completion, can be attached and  emailed.  The issue is that when the email is drawn up, the pdf form is named some weird default name.  Is there a way to populate the saved attachment dynamically with possibly a field name in the form?

You're probably getting that filename when testing the pdf via the pdf preview?

If you open the pdf separately you should get the filename of the pdf.

This is true.  I guess what i'm trying to ask is if there is a way that I can dynmically change the filename to incorporate values stored in the form fields.  Ideally, this form would be used across hundreds of users and wanted someway of at least distinguishing one from another.

Not easily. It involves folder-level scripts for running trusted functions - the scripts would have to be present on every user's computer.

Someone else would be better able to answer on the ins and outs.
