I've created PDF templates using Adobe LiveCycle Designer. These templates are used by an application to fill in data. It seems the resulting PDF files cannot be merged. I believe this is due to the PDF security settings such as 'Document Assembly' being set to 'Not Allowed'. I haven't set these properties explicitly. At what point are these properties set and how can I set them to allowed? At the end, I need users to be able to merge the PDF files using various PDF merging tools. Please help.
XFA does not have native merging support. I believe the LiveCycle Server product has this feature, as does some third party tools, such as iText's XFA Worker.
