Logging into console

My company is currently using Adobe Document Server.  We are looking to upgrade to LiveCyle ES.  The biggest issue we have with Document Server is that when installed on a server, a user has to remain logged into the console or the product does not work.  Has this been fixed with LiveCycle?

Yes.

Please also note that unlike Adobe Document Server, LiveCycle requires a J2EE appserver such as IBM WebSphere, Red Hat JBoss or Oracle WebLogic.

Can you elaborate?  So in addition to having a user logged into console, I need to also have one of those products installed?  Does it matter that we will probably only install LiveCycle PDF Generator?

PDFGenerator is one of many services within LiveCycle that can be individually licensed but it will still require a J2EE appserver to run on top of.
