Validation error on required field

i change a drop down list to a text field. previously the drop down field was doing a look up.

after the change whenever i enter some value in the text field and click on the submit button i get a validation error stating that the required field has no value in it and the focus is shifted to that text filed.

how can i know what validation script is written on the complete button ? because the complete button is on the form by default and i am new to adobe live cycle

Hi Vinit Shah,

To see the script on any control in LiveCycle Designer you should open the script editor window from window--> Script Editor. Select the control and click on Show dropdown in the Script editor window. Every even having * *Star) sign has some script.
