LiveCycle Forms ES and Acrobat reader

Avatar

Level 1

I had created a form in LiveCycle Forms ES.  With drop downs, radio buttons & text fields.  I know you can save this out as an .xml, static and a dynamic PDF.

Question 1

How does one who has just has acrobat reader use this form?  When "they" open it up  it is a static piece the form is static. ?

Question 2.

The other question is on the .xml piece.  Once I created the form the option is to save it as a .xml... what I can do with that file.  how can I incorporte the form does it act like a "web form"  is there tutorials that would show me step by step instructions on how to implement the form and use all the features.

Thanks in advance I appreciate all responses.

Question 1. Reader and Acrobat behave the same regardless of the form type. See http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/8.2/static_dynamic_diffs.pdf for an explanation of static versus dynamic forms.

Question 2. There are export and import data functions that enable XML form data to be shared amongst users of an interactive PDF form. A good place to start is the LiveCycle Designer help. There is a section on Getting Started. See http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/designerHelp/index.htm.
