LiveCycle Form Doesn't Work

Avatar

I am using LiveCycle ES 8.2/ I have created a form with text fields that I want to be filed from data in a Microsoft Access query. I have created the form with the name of each field corresponding to the name of the appropriate data field in the query. When I tried to fill from Adobe by pointing to the xml file I am taken back to my form and absolutely NOTHING happens. wizard is demanding an xml file, so in Access I created an XML file from the query. Then in adobe again, in my form, I select the xml file and walla – NOTHING.

Thanks for the houskeeping response.  I response on the substance of the question would be ever so helpful.

This forum is mostly staffed by volunteers, I'm not sure how many of us check the forums every day, I don't, so sometimes you may have to wait for a response.

I've not done any work with databases so can only point you at some resources.

Here's a tech talk on connecting xfa forms to databases:

There's quite a bit of stuff about connecting to databases on Stefan Cameron's blog but it seems to be down at the moment.

There are also a lot of threads in the forums here about xfa forms and access databases:
