Hello All,
I'm new to LiveCycle. In order to achieve high availability, we are considering a cluster installation (2 nodes, 2 machines). The installation documentation suggests that MySQL cannot be used in a cluster configuration (without stating that clearly).Unfortunately, a commercial database like Oracle is out of budget.
1. can anybody confirm/deny that?
2. is there a viable alternative to clustering? We have no performance issues, our concern is failover: we just have to make sure that the LiveCycle Server is available even if one server crashes.
Any comments/answers would be greatly appreciated.
Greetings
Daniel

Are you using Process Management or Content Services? Which LiveCycle components have you licensed and are planning to deploy?

We are just using the DRM module - we need to protect PDF documents from unauthorized access. In my understanding, that implies Process Management; we definitely do not use Content Services, however.
Our Contract states: "LC Rights Management, ES 2, 9.0, AOO, ALP, D, Per Document, Linux, JBOSS"

Yes, for ES2 MySQL is supported only for standalone server not for cluster.
