JavaScript: how to add PDF Reader custom menu items/toolbar buttons?

Hello there!

Is it possible to add custom menu items and/or toolbar buttons to PDF Reader?

I've trying with app.addMenuItem but had no success so far.

Well,

the addMenuItem method it correct, but you cannot use it from inside a PDF.

You have to write a folder level script instead which then is copied into the Javascripts folder of Acrobat or Reader.

After that you have to restart the app to see the new menu item.
