Is it possible to change task assignment by means other than a task deadline

Hi there,

I have the requirement of allowing a process initiator or prior task owner in the process to unwind task assignment. Apparently task deadlines are not sufficient as they require waiting for the deadline - the thinking is that it would be known well before any deadline if the task needs to be pulled back.

I don't know of anyway to do this. Its is possible ? Perhaps by way of the LS ES admin console ?

The admin console allows you to reassing a task.

The one thing to be careful is that it doesn't remove the task. The task stays at the same step in the process. It just has a new task owner.

If you really want to pull it back, you would have to do it using the API and perhaps have a "remove" route coming out of that step.
