Can anybody tell me how I can include on my form the ability for the signer to upload documents. I was told by Adobe that I needed to purchase Live Cycle which I have and I asked him to send me a link which would show me how to do it but unfortunately the link was just to a generic help page.
I found a template on here that somebody uploaded but I have no idea how to pull it into my document so that it works. I am sure there is some coding going on in the background and if I knew where to go and copy it so that I could then paste it I would.
I have a candidate registration form that I used Acrobat DC Pro to design but have imported it into Live Cycle and managed to make it far more professional that it was previously but I just need to be able to get the candidate to upload copies of ID Documents and possibly copies of certificates of their qualifications that they have listed on their cv. I have generally received their cv in the first instance.
Any help somebody could give me would be very much appreciated - I would even consider paying for the service as I have spent so much time already just trying to find out how which Adobe do not seem to make easy. If I knew what to search for ie the correct term it might help the only thing I can seem to find is adding an upload field but I do not think Adobe understands that either.
NOTE: Although it is possible to add this feature to your form, you will run into issues with those individuals who are using free Adobe Reader to complete the form (potentially the majority of your form users). This is because the form requires special rights (aka Reader Extensions) in order to grant Reader users the ability to attach files using the free application.
The threads above talks about this hindrance, but I wanted to give you the heads up so you don't spend too much more of your time trying to get it to work.
Now, if you can guarantee everyone who will use the form will be using Adobe Acrobat then you can certainly continue to pursue the effort. Or, you can try to find someone who can add the required Reader Extensions to your completed file which requires special software (i.e. these are NOT the same reader rights that can be applied using Acrobat). The problem is...each time your form changes, you will need someone to reapply the rights to your document. And in case you're wondering about doing it yourself, the extension rights are very expensive.
Perhaps a much easier approach would be to simply have them attach the additional documents to an email.
