i have created forms to be filled out by our companies engineers however they use android tablets to access work documents and they come up with an error when opening them. is there a way to save the forms i have created to allow them to be used on android tablets?

Yes, if you save your form as static PDF form. Dynamic PDF forms can only be filled out using the desktop version of Acrobat.
