How to invoke java-rest webservice from workbench?

Hi Experts,

Please help me out...I have one requirement is like I need to invoke a java based rest webservice from our workflow(workbench) or designer. Is it possible please give me the step by step procedure.

If the "Invoke Web Service" service doesn't help you out with it's associated F1 help...

--> write a Java custom component... (you can use eclipse and the custom component plugin)
