I have developed an order form which is to be filled out by multiple users in remote offices. The users have both Apple and Windows machines and some use the Chrome browser. All users have localized Acrobat Pro or Reader installed. In addition the client has a SharePoint server. We have tested document check-out and workarounds with Chrome PDF issues with dynamic PDFs. As most will know there is an issue with Chrome and the default condition is to view the PDF within the browser. So, we have instructions for the users to save locally and upload. We are interested in any other suggestion regarding hosting an order form to be used by multiple offices while locking edits when an office is working on the form. The SharePoint solution for PDF handling is a bit clunky and may result in users uploading multiple iterated names for the PDF as they would save locally, edit and then upload back to SharePoint. Without an investment in LiveCycle server or AEM server; is there a better way to reduce the number of issues we are encountering and providing a better user experience? Is it possible to host this form on AEM cloud and will that allow for editing locks and ease of use when adding entries to the order form? Any help will, of course, be greatly appreciated.
