How do I remove a button on SmartForm so that Reader 7 doesn't display it?

Hello,

Trying to permanently remove a button instead of simply changing its property to hide it.  Problem is that when a PDF that was processed in Adobe Reader 9 or 8, the hidden buttons actually display and are active, even though they were locked down prior to saving the final version of the form.  Thanks for your help!

I created some forms & tested them on Reader 8 & 9, where these two buttons don't display because I disabled them via presence property. Problem is that same forms display buttons & somewhat work in Reader 7.  Thanks!

That is not enough information to determine the problem ..can you send the form and a description to LiveCycle8@gmail.com and I will try and duplicate the issue.

I've emailed a sample form that properly hides the two buttons when viewed

in Reader 8 and 9, but doesn't hide them in Reader version 7. Thanks, Paul.
