How do I print the file name on the form?

The data set that I am using with Designer is a series of equipement specfications for vendors. For tracking purposes it would be nice to be able to place the file name, which contains some equipment information, on the form without having to type it in. As these forms will be going off electronically to various vendors who may or may not submit it back electronically it would be nice to be able to correlate the response to the original.

In the calculate script (JavaScript) of a text field, enter:

this.rawValue = event.target.documentFileName;

It will update once the form is saved.

Hope this helps.

Can you include the file name in the source data file and bind it to a field like any other field?
