Forms with Data Connection from XML works in Designer but not in Reader

Hey,

sorry for the long title but I couldn't describe it shorter. I created a working form in LiveCycle Designer, which loads its content from a xml file. I preprocess the data with a xslt file.

This works fine in the Designer Preview but as soon as I open the created PDF in Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Reader the xml is not loaded anymore.

I created a valid certified PDF to extend the PDFs rights, but this didn't change anything :/

Am I missing something or what are the steps to enable the necessary features in one of the readers?

In opposite to Designers PDF-Preview neither Acrobat nor Reader will import XML data automatically.

You'll have to import the data manually frkm the import dialog under the forms panel.
