Formatting in an interactive PDF

Hi,

I have a form that has a section that needs to be able to go into auto numbering/sub bullets, etc as needed (like an outline format).  Is this possible?

Also, within that same section, there are cases where the user wants to copy from a Word document, keeping the same outline type format, into the form.  I've tried but it gets distorted.  Is there a way?

Hi,

The current version of LC Designer doesn't do bullet points or numbered lists very well.

Radzmar has a solution here: Automatic Bullets?

By default when you drag a textfield onto the form it has a plain text format. If you select the textfield and go to the Object > Field palette you can change the format to Rich Text. This allows shortcuts for bold (Control+B), etc at run time. Also when the form is opened in Reader/Acrobat if the user presses Control+E (edit) then they can set the formatting. While this will improve the experience of pasting from Word, you will still have problems with numbered lists and bullet points.

Good luck,

Niall
