Font not changing to Bold or Italics

All,

I have Installed Burmese Font in windows 7 called "Zawgyi-One". I can see the font in designer and able to copy paste Burmese text. The problem is the text not changing to Bold/Italics even after the Bold/Italics button is selected.

PS: If I try the text in MS word, It is changing to bold so the system has the font.

It's because the font has no information about bold or italic styles in it.

MS Word can simulate such styles but not so Designer.

Are you saying I need to also install the bold font separately?

Yes, for many font families you'll find font files for different styles (regular, thin, blod, black, italic, condensed etc...).

If there is no such style available for your font, you'll have to use another font, I'm afraid.
