Floating Field data not included in output XML?

Hi

I have designed a form using LiveCycle ES4 -  I am struggling to get some floating field data to be included in the xml output. It appears floating fields van only be used  in a Text Object (not a Text Field) and it seems the Text Object is classed by LiveCycle as merely 'heading text' and therefore it is not included in the xml the user emails back?

Am I missing something here? Hopefully I have articulated my issue - can anyone help please?

Hi Ellis,

There should be no problem setting the binding to a floating fields, that is how I would normally use them.  If you want to use them as a textfield then have a look at this blog Editable Floating Fields V3.  Otherwise post a link to your form in this thread and we can have a look.
