Expandable Table Cells with Object Type "Text"?

Hi,

there are a number of best practices about how to create auto-expanding table cells of the type "Text Field", but how do I get my simple "Text" cells to automatically fit the contained text? My table is filled by a script, not the user, so all cells are simple "Text" objects.

I already tried wrapping the Text objects with a subform; that way I can set a Text object's "Expand to fit" heigth property, but the table row does not increase its heigth, so the cells are cut off at the bottom...

I'm not sure if that will work.

Maybe try using text fields with no captions and set them to protected so people won't tab into them.
