Expand text field horizontly

Can anyone tell how to expand a text

field horizontally,not vertically as through scroll bar. So, that when user enters text in the field it expands to the right as per the entered data.

You can set the property for this on the text field itself.  In the layout pallette, there is size and position values.  Below those are checkbox flags for both width and height; You can select (one or both) that will allow the field to grow dynamically, based upon user input.

Yes,

if you activate the option "Expand to Fit" for the width in the layout pallette, the textfield will resize after exiting the field.
