Email "Receive" activity - how to invoke regularly

Morning,

I need IMAP support so forced to use the "Recieve" activity under Email in Foundation to do so.

How would one set this up to regularly poll the email server as the email endpoint does?

I am assuming building a java app that would work on a schedule to invoke the process via the java api for ES?

I don't understand why you can't just use the email endpoint.

Can you explain exactly what you're trying to do?
