I have recieved a pdf form made in life cycle and want to edit it.  I have the creative cloud and it won't let me edit it in acrobat, is there any other way i can edit it without having live cycle?

You can flatten the form by printing it Adobe PDF printer and the edit in Acrobat.

But all the script will get removed.

No, you'll need LiveCycle Designer or AEM Forms Designer to edit the form.
