dynamic Table row breaks only on the first page (not on second)

Hello,

I biuld a dynamic table with Livecycle.

If the text in the last field is to long, the table grows automatically.

If the end of the first page is reached, the row breaks over from the first to the second page(= 1st break)

This works correctly.

But if the text is longer, and the field have to break from the second to the third page, the field does not break!!

Please see the attached file.

The settings should be correct, because the break ( from 1st to the 2nd page) works.

But why, is the "dynamic behaviour " limited to only ONE page ?

Can you help me please ?

Sorry, you cannot attach files to the forum.

Please upload the form somewhere in the www like on acrobat.com.

You will need to allow page breaks for the whole table and for the signle row to solve your problem.

In the table's binding palette, try clicking "Repeat Table for Each Data Item". That's what you have to do in order to get subforms to repeat over more than one pagebreak.

Thanks for the answers, but the problem still continues...

• page break for each single row is allowed
  
• page break for the whole table is allowed
• page break for the subform is allowed
• "Repeat Table for Each Data Item" for the table is clicked
  

Nothing works.

The table is only broken ONCE...

Repeat for each row on your Kopfzeile object.

Du musst für die einzelenen Zeilen die Option "Zeile für jedesDatenelement wiederholen" aktivieren!

Odd. In LCD D 9.0.0.2 it works after having set Repeat For Each on the Kopfzeile object.

Jep, bei deiner Datei funktionierts.

Ich habe alle Einstellungen genauso angeklickt wie Du, aber trotzdem funktionierts nicht in meiner Tabelle.

Kannst du Dich erinnern, was genau Du geändert hast ?

Ich lade eine Datei hoch, in der ich eine neue Tabelle in die bereits existierende Tabelle ( von Dir korrigiert und funktionierend) einfgefügt habe.

In dieser zweiten Tabelle habe ich die gleichen Einstellungen wie in deiner Tabelle. Meine Tabelle funktioniert aber nicht.

Wo ist mein Fehler ?

Ich hatte es aber als dynamisches Formular gespeichert. Die Felder verändern sich ja, nur nicht mit dem richtigen Umbruch.

Teillösung:

Mit 1 Spalte anstelle von 2 Spalten funktionierts auch bei mir.

Mit 2 Spalten nicht.

Weiss jemend Rat ?

I saved the origin file as a dynamic form. The fields were growing automatically (when the text is long). The problem was the overflow.

It works fine, when I delete 1 column.

With 2 columns -> overflow problem

With 1 column -> no problem..

Du solltest dir unbedingt diesen Tech Talk ansehen, er handelt auch von dynamischen Tabellen!

Also, für die Kopfzeile ist "Seitenumbrüche erlauben" aktiviert.

Das führt dazu, dass bei einem Umbuch nur ggf. die Kopfzeile auf einer Seite allein angezeigt wird.

Versuchs mal ohne diese Option.

Sorry, ich will nicht nerven, aber es funktioniert immer noch nicht.

Inzwischen habe ich wohl netto 48 Stunden mit diesem Problem verbracht.

Könntest du mir erklären, wieso es bei diesem neuen Dokumente nicht klappt, dass das Textfeld über 4, 5, ..etc Seiten lang wird ??

Ansonten bin ich mir sicher, dass meine Version einen BUG hat..

Ich habe nämlich alle denkbaren Kombinationen durchgespielt.

Das Problem kommt von der vertikale Textausrichtung, die bei deinem Formularfeldern immer mittig ist.

Du musst deine Textfelder "oben ausrichten", damit der Text auch sauber nach unten läuft.

und hier wirklich meine letzte Frage:

Ich habe nacheinander 2 unterschiedliche Tabellen auf einer Seite.

Wie schaffe ich es, dass eine Kopf- und Fußzeile NICHT allein vor dem Umbruch bleiben ?

• "nächste/ vorherige nicht trennen" habe ich schon ausprobiert
• Höhe der Felder habe ich variiert -> erfolglos
• Platzhalter ( = leere subform) habe ich zwischen die beiden Tabellen gesetzt -> erfolglos

Für eine letzte HIlfe bin ich dankbar...
