Drop down list with custom text limited to visible area

I need to have custom entries in a drop down list but the custom entry cannot excede the visible area of the drop down box, any ideas?

Hi,

the XFA spec states that the choiceList element has no hScrollPolicy property, so the text entry cannot be limited a the visible area for those kind of fields (list box and drop down).
