Hi,  We use pdf forms from states websites in our claim system and map to claim data to prefill some of the forms.  One states forms are created in LiveCycle.  I can change the field names in LiveCycle to our mapping names, e.g.  EmployeeFirstName, but when I open the form in Acrobat, I see all of the LiveCycle properties, e.g.  topmostSubform[0].Page1[0].EmployeeFirstName[0].  Acrobat won't allow me to change the name.  Is there any way to get rid of the LiveCycle properties so all that shows in Acrobat is EmployeeFirstName???  Thanks very much.

LiveCycle Designer and Acrobat AcroForms use two very different approaches to form design. LiveCycle Designer is the successor to JetForms that was acquired by Adobe to allow for the use of XML forms. And there is limited commonality between the 2 products for form design. Further, users need version 5.01 of Acrobat or Reader to use forms created by LiveCycle Designer.

Forms created in LiveCycle Designer need to be edited in LiveCycle Designer and forms created in Acrobat should be edited in Acrobat. One can convert an Acrobat form to LiveCycle Designer but all calculations and scripting will be lost and there is no way back to Acrobat.

These state will find there will a number of users who will not be able to use these forms.
