Does External File Exist

I'm using LiveCycle Designer 8.x

Is there a way to tell if an external file exists in LCD?

More specifically, if a file exists in the same folder as the form, I want to execute certain javascript code, otherwise not.

Hi David,

I don't think that there is a method to get a XFA form to look outside of itself (into the directory structure) and see if a particular file exists.

There is a Formcalc function "Exists(v)", but that just checks if an object exists in the actual XFA form.
