Date/Time Field Question

I am creating a form in livecycle and assigned it date/time. Is there a way to change it so when you click in the date/time field, a calendar will automatically pop up, rather than the blank box with the drop down? It seems like my only choice with

date time is to have the user click in the date/time field, and then click on the drop down arrow on the right to choose the day on the calendar.

That is the way that the Calendar works.....they will have to click the little button to open it.

Hello, i have made loads of forms in the designer using the date with the drop down calendar and thats great.

But now i want to display the date and time - i have selected date and time in the designer, but on the preview PDF page i only get the date.

What am i doing wrong????

Click on "Validation Pattern" button.

and check the Display pattern.
