Date Format

I have a Customer Name field on my form.  On that field, I have this java script to enter the date in a particular field-

DateCustSigned.rawValue

=

Date()

The DateCustSigned field is set up as a  date / time field with the Default Binding Data Format set as Date, and the Display Pattern set to date.short{}.   My problem is, that inspite of all this, when the date is populated into the field, it also shows the time.  I do not want the time to show because of space constraints - that is why I tried to format it as a "short date".  How can I get this field to be automatically populated with just the date and not the time?

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

On the Date field in the Object/Binding tab you can set whether this field is just Date or just Time or both. It is both by default.

I have the binding on that field set to Date only. That is why I can’t figure out why the time is showing up.

Thank you
