i have a form that is distributed statewide and i need the ability for the user to be able to create mutiple pages - this form may have 2 pages or 200 pages and right now i have 20 copies of the page in the file and if they have more than 20 pages they have to save multiple files.

The attached is a simple one page dynamic PDF with add and delete buttons. On page 1 the delete button is not visible. When you click 'Add Page' on page 1 a new sub-form instance is added creating a second page. On page 2..n the delete button is visible. When you click 'Delete Page' the current sub-form instance is removed.

Dear Mr Walker,

Are these same button actions possible using Adobe X Pro, if so what is the script for it or how? I am creating a form where the user can (hopefully) add as many pages as needed at the end of an already mutipage form. I need for it to import or add an additional page with thesame form fields each time one is added, basically i need it to function exsactly like your example. Thank you for your help on this matter.

You can do that with an Acroform by spawning a page template. If it has to work with Reader versions prior to 11, then the document will have to be Reader-enabled using LiveCycle Reader Extensions (which is different than Designer) with the appropriate usage rights. Reader 11 allows template spawning to create a new page (and overlay an existing one) with a non-enabled document. Here's a link to some documentation: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.1216.html

Note that you cannot remove a page once it has been added.
