Confusing Information

Hi, I'm a little confused about the newest version of Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4.  Some are saying this is what I need in order to have Adobe LiveCycle Designer forms work on iPads, others are saying that I need HTML5.

I thought I read here,http://www.adobe.com/ca/products/livecycle/mobile.html, is that Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4 will render the file in HTML5 so that the forms could be used on the iPad.

Can someone clarify for me on this?  Do I need to have both Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4 and HTML5 or will Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4 work?

Thanks for any information you can provide.

None of the forms created by LiveCycle Designer will work on the Adobe Reader for iPad or iPhone. However, ES4 may have some solutions that work for mobile (including HTML5). I'm moving this to the LiveCycle forum and hoping someone there can answer the question.

You need more than just Designer ES4, you need to render the resulting form design (xdp) through a LiveCycle ES4 server using LiveCycle Forms Pro to create an HTML5 version of the form template that can then be viewed on an iPad.

One quick note: If all you are trying to do is create forms that will work on the Adobe Reader for iOS, you can use Adobe Acrobat and create an Acroform instead of a LC Designer form. Alternatively, you can create a form on FormsCentral (http://formscentral.acrobat.com) that will work on the Adobe Reader for iOS.
