Code 3 of 9 Barcode limited to 10 characters

Hello! I'm having some issues generating a barcode in LiveCycle / Acrobat. Using the Code 3 of 9 barcode it is limiting it to 10 characters. I know the standard states it is supposed to be up to 43 characters. Any ideas how I can get the barcode to work correctly with 43 characters?

Click the Barcode object.

In the Object Window  >> Field Tab.

Change the "Data length" to 43 as required.
