Hi,

I guess this is more of a license issue.... I was wondering will the adobe allow the cocoma client to talk to different server for custom requirement like document conversion.

thank you in advance

An application using AFCS uses the AFCS infrastructure to exchange real time messages (that go through the AFCS servers).

We currently don't provide document hosting (and we really don't want to ) so we have no plans to integrate with external servers for things like document conversion.

In general our approach is that we provide the "collaboration" part of an application, where "collaboration" is intended as exchanging of messages. If your application requires dealing with static content, conversions and such, you can certainly use your own server infrastructure to provide these services, and use the AFCS infrastructure to provide "messaging" (i.e. somebody uploaded a document, the document is converting, the converted document is ready for view)
