Can't see xml data when open the pdf form in Adobe Reader

Hi folks,

I created a dynamic PDF form with drop down list that get it's data from XML file which I created.

In LiveCycle preview mode I can see the data items in the drop down list, but when I'm opening the file in Adobe Reader(9) I can't see the items.

What could be the reason?

Hello Yair,

I guess you have to manually import the XML data first to the form in the Acrobat Pro and then save it. For this : Open the form then Click Forms -> Manage Form data  -> Import Data. browse through the XML file and save it. When you open it again you can see the dropdown working.

your solution is working, but what if I want to do it in LiveCycle directly? I have to use Adobe Pro?

Hello Yair,

As your users need only the PDF version of your form so you need to imort the data manually and then save it. Yes, You need Acrobat Pro for this purpose.
