Hi, I have a form that submits to a URL using HTTP submit - the form works great when viewed online, but if opened in reader locally, the submit is long winded, and messy, by having to download a temp file on C drive, before information can then be viewed online. If I open the local Pdf using my Browser, the process is much much smoother.
Is there a way of defaulting the document to either open in their browser, of some script that I could use so that once the form is open, it then re-opens to view locally in IE or similiar?

Hi,
You can test to see if the form is opened in the browser, by testing the filename (search for threads on this forum). However I do not believe that you will be able to force the document closed (eg close Acrobat/Reader) and then reopen the form in a browser.
Maybe test to see if the form is opened in Acrobat or Reader and if so warn the user.
