The question is most likly simple to solve and I am just dumb one more time.
I have some textfields in a dynamic form. However LiveCycle doesn't print them with the underlined boarder (like it should) but without any.
If I reset it to static, everything is all right.
Question: how can I make underlines of Textfields in a dynamic form?
Any ideas?
Thanx Lisa

I've been unable to duplicate that error, but when all else fails i usually customise the Edges on the Border Tab or the Appearence on the Object -> Field Tab.
I probably didn't answer your question, so if you could provide me with an exemple of the error for me to look at it would be great.

Hmm... to precise it it is not the boarder but the underline.
I did that already and it didn't work... neither the underline nor the user defined underline.
Give me your e-mail adress and I'll send it to you right away... (I don't like this queued/dequeued thing)
Thank you for trying to help me

Thanx for taking a look at it
Wise to not write your mail adress directly. (I think one of my mail adresses gets more spam since I once posted it here... wellwell... could be something else though.)

The example you sent me render perfectly.
I'm still unable to duplicate your error.
I did changed the default settings of the PDF (changed it to Dynamic), changed the font to Arial (could be a Myriad Pro Font problem) and emailed it back to you.
I puted 4 text boxes, 1 with underline, 2 with the bottom border defined (in different places) and 1 with no underline.
Please check if any of those textboxes appear correctly to you.
If not, please tell me if, to render the PDF, you use Forms ES or Output ES or just save the document as a PDF (in Designer) and open it with Adobe Reader.

Here you go.
That's what I see...
Probably it is a Reader problem?
I have AdobeReader 8.1.3

If you don't see that Button, check here.
I'm using reader 9 but it should be in the same place.
Got it... that would work...
Unfortunatelly I have to highlight the fields, since there are also some calculated ones which won't be highlighted.
But nevertheless... one step closer...
(I know it's annoying... at least I know now that the underlines aren't totally gone.)

Calculated - Read-Only fields don't highlight, only Calculated - User-May-Overwrite ones.
I don't know the German version of Adobe Reader, but, acording to Google, the translation should be "Markieren Felder"?!
Also, in the View Menu check if you have Reading Mode active, if so unselect it (it hides the side menu).

OMG BABELPFISHING! ;D
Hmm... Okey I'll explain it with an image
I need the hightlight to NOT confuse the reader in which fields he can/has to enter data

If you want to diferenciate the fields, then you should change the background of the fields (or some other aspect) because you won't be able to control the end-user enviroment. He might have highlight off, he might not even be using Adobe Reader or anyother reason that you cannot control in form design.
But at least this problem is solved. Good.
Edit: uploaded one example, don't use my color scheme because its really bad.

So that the underlines don't work in highlighted dynamic forms can't be achieved? That would have been the simplest way for me...
(And most likly the prefered one of the ones who told me to do this.)
Btw. they WILL use adobe reader, if not, it's their problem since it is extra written to use AR ^^
Yours is queued

It works per se, but the Highlight overlaps the underline.
As for the queued file, i don't know why it happens, i'm still new in this forums, probably something i did incorrectly.
I mailed it to you.
Yeh thanks for your help ;D
You are right, they DO look awfull ;P
Okey, this means that I have to make some scripts, returning the backgroundcolor if someone prints it out.
Not such a big problem
Though still... the normal (static) appeareance would be better...
