After applying a border with dashes on a text box, then choosing to remove 1 of the 4 sides using the 'editing individually' option, deselecting from 'dashes' to 'none' causes the other 3 border patterns to solid.

Hi,
I don't seem to get that behaviour using Designer ES3, which version are you using, have you specified any fill color?
Borders can be a bit tricky, here is an explanation of some strange behavour with borders, http://forms.stefcameron.com/2007/03/24/where-did-that-border-come-from/

Thanks. I will check it out. I'm using ES2. Have you noticed in ES3, when a text object that breaks to the next page where the content is indented or margin...if the next page continues the indentation? I noticed ES2, I would indent text and when it continued to the next page, it didn't retain it's indent. I then chose to use floating fields with instead allowing clean previews and template formatting.
