Auto Fill Based on Info Entered Into Initial Text Box

I'm working in LiveCycle Designer 8.2

I have a 12 page document that I'm creating.  One the first page the end user enters his/her school district.  Later on in the form where the end user should/could be able to RE-enter the school district...I want it to auto fill instead, thus, saving the end user some time.

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

The easiest way is to set the binding of the school district field to Global in the Object / Binding tab. In the hierarchy view set the name of the field to something like "schoolDistrict".

Then everywhere you want the information to appear in the 12-page form copy that schoolDistrict object. Because it has a global binding, it means that when the user inputs the data on page 1 it will automatically appear in all other instances of schoolDistrict.

Good luck,

Niall
