AuditWorkflowService Not Working Correctly

We have been using Record & Playback to record most of our processes and it has recently stopped working correctly.  Processes were no longer going through and forms would hang when trying to open them.  When trying to play process recordings or delete process recordings, Workbench will hang for around 5 minutes before timing out.

We tried clearing out the audit folder on the server and then restarting the workflow, but the processess & playback would still hang.  Our temporary fix is to disable the AuditWorkflowService, but it would be nice to still have Record & Playback available since we are still in development.  Is there a way to fix this?  Please let me know if you have any questions or need more information

Did you directly delete the process recoding files from the server folder? If so, this might caused the issue.

Also verify the server log for any other related issues. Or make sure that your jvm is running within its memory limit (i.e no out of memory exception)
