Allowing users to digitally sign and save LC form with Reader

I apologize for this elementary question.  I am using LiveCycle to create more robust forms for our office.  However, when I send the PDF to a customer, they are not able to utilize the Digital Signature option or to save the form.  What I am I doing wrong on the form?

Thanks for your assistance.

The document has to be Reader-enabled with Acrobat or LiveCycle Reader Extensions.

Thanks for the reply, George_Johnson .  How do I acquire these extensions? And, is the extension something I, as the creator of form, needs, or something each consumer of form would need?

Reader Extensions is server-based software from Adobe that is used to add usage rights to a PDF. These rights allow Adobe Reader to do things it normally cannot, such as digitally sign XFA forms. Acrobat Pro can also add the digital signature usage right at a much lower cost.
