Page opens and on selecting "new form" generates the
microsoft error box stating
that it has encountered a problem and must shut down. Have
removed Acrobat Pro 7, cleaned registry and insituted install repair.
Assistance appreciated

Problem occurs when trying to start a new form or open a form
from Acrobat pro 7. Either start
ing from Programs or starting from Acrobat Pro 9.
Installed trial version this morning to evaluate form generation.
Can you start Designer without going through Acrobat?
Do you have SQLServer tools on your machine by chance?
Same problem either way. Yes, have microsoft sql server 2008. In process of
trying a re-install. Have encountered similar problems with other software
when setting up trial versions. In the past some problems were registry
issues.

There is a known issue where SQLServer puts a shared DLL on your system that is causing the issue.
There is a new dll from MS to fix the issue. Here is a link to the technote:
