Adobe forms support after 2015

Hi,

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question but could not avoid posting this question.

Just started venturing into adobe forms and started working on few projects. But the rumour is that adobe forms are nearing end of life and that there won't be any adobe forms support after 2015. Kind of weird statement but I would like to know if thats true. I need to know this since I need to answer my clients as well.

Thanks and regrets for any inconvenience caused.

Hi,

No, Forms are not nearing their end of life.  Adobe VP and GM  Arun Anantharaman who is responsible for the LiveCycle business recently reaffirmed our commitment to the product https://blogs.adobe.com/ADEP/2012/01/the-future-of-livecycle.html

What may be confusing you is the support period for a particular version of the product. Our support policy is 5 years of core support with 2 years of available extended support from the day the product starts shipping.

We do publish our support periods for all product versions on our website - http://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/eol/eol_matrix.html.  The most recent release of Forms was as part of the Adobe Digital Enterprise Platform (ADEP) in September 2011 - http://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/eol/eol_matrix.html#111 and as a result this version is supported until September 30th 2016 with extended support lasting until September 30th 2018.   As new versions of Forms (or other LiveCycle modules) the new support period dates will be updated on this website.   Customers who are up to date on their maintenance and support payments can upgrade without additional charges.

I hope that helps.
